# Upgrade

In Kongzilla, players have the opportunity to **upgrade** their NFTs from level 1 to 8 by **accumulating and using the in-game token, $ZILLA**.

Each player faces a strategic choice: claim the $KONG, the only tradable token in the game, or **amass $ZILLA to upgrade their NFT** and unlock access to missions with higher Annual Percentage Rates (APR).

Earning $ZILLA is possible through three primary methods:

* Completing missions.
* Participating in the referral program.
* Engaging in the landlord program.

However, upgrading an NFT carries inherent risks. If an upgrade attempt **fails**, the NFT does not advance to the next level and the player must retry from the last successfully obtained level.

This adds a layer of challenge and strategy, as players must weigh the potential benefits of higher-level missions against the risk of losing progress in upgrading their NFTs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kongzilla.gitbook.io/kongzilla/konzilla-game/nfts/upgrade.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
